IF YOU FEEL DISCONNECTED OR LOW, YOUR BREAKTHROUGH WON’T BE FOUND IN TRYING TO FEEL BETTER — BUT IN SITTING WITH THE EMOTIONS THAT ARE COMING UP FOR YOU.

When you feel low, it is common to do any of the following:

— Feel bad about yourself for feeling bad
— Judge yourself for not doing better
— Distract or numb yourself from how you’re feeling
— Try to fix how you’re feeling
— Wonder why you’re not feeling or doing better
— Think that something is wrong with how you’re feeling

Instead, the key is to let yourself fully witness and feel the low and what this brings up for you — whether it’s self-judgment, low self-worth, putting more fear or pressure on yourself, frustration or despair, etc. THIS is the energy that is wanting to be cleared, and you can only do it by feeling it fully.

Most people may misunderstand this and say, “I AM already feeling it!” but here is the difference:

Instead of getting stuck in a loop of judging yourself and feeling bad… SIT with the self-judgment itself. This doesn’t mean getting lost in the stories of all the ways you’re judging yourself or judging yourself even more. This is about sitting with the energy itself — the discomfort of judging yourself, how it makes you feel in your body, breathing into the constriction of it — fully witnessing it so that it can lift.

When you feel low, off, or disconnected — instead of thinking, “I shouldn’t be feeling this way,” consider this:

“HOW I’M FEELING IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT FOR HELPING ME SEE MORE DEEPLY INTO MYSELF, FEEL WHAT I NEED TO FEEL, AND LET GO OF MORE DENSITY.”

There is never anything wrong with how you feel. It is only the human that judges how you feel. However you feel is absolutely perfect for what you are meant to experience in that moment — and the more you embrace it instead of resist it, the more smoothly it can move through you.

When you feel discomfort, your body and mind are used to resisting it or trying to fix it. It takes awareness and conscious effort to override this and let yourself sit with it… becoming aware of the thoughts and emotions, judgments and stories, you are creating around this experience.

You will find massive breakthroughs when you first honor this, and THEN go on to do something that makes you feel more connected and present with your heart.
